'Over Night Success'

Everything that happens to us happens in purpose. And sometimes, one thing leads to another. Instead of locking yourself up in your cage of fears and crying over past heartaches, embarrassment and failures, treat them as your teachers and they will become your tools in both self improvement and success.

I remember watching the movie called Patch Adams. Its one great film that will help you improve yourself. Hunter "patch" Adams is a medical student who failed to make it through the board exams. After months of suffering in melancholy, depression and suicidal attempts - he decided to seek for medical attention and voluntarily admitted himself in a psychiatric ward. His months of stay in the hospital led him to meeting different kinds of people. Sick people in that matter. He met a catatonic, a mentally retarded, a schizophrenic and so on. Patch found ways of treating his own ailment and finally realized he has to get back on track.

He woke upone morning realizing that after all the failure and pains he has gone through, he still want to become the a doctor. He carries with himself a positive attitude that brought him self improvement and success. He didn't only improved himself, but also the life of the people around him and the quality of life. Did he succeed? Needless to say, he became the best doctor his country has ever known.

So, when does self improvement become synonymous with success? Where do we start?

Take these tips, friends...

*Stop thinking and feeling as if you're a failure, because you're not. How can others accept you if YOU can't accept YOU?

*When you see hunks and models on TV, think more on self-improvement, not self pitying. Self acceptance is not just about having nice slender legs, or great abs. Concentrate on inner beauty.

*When people feel so down and low about themselves, help them move up. Don't go down with them. They'll pull you down further and both of you will end up feeling inferior.

*The world is a large room for lessons, not mistakes. Don't feel stupid and doomed forever just because you failed on a project. There's always a next time. Make rooms for self improvement.

*Take things one at a time. You don't expect black sheep's to be goody-two-shoes in just a snap of a finger. Self improvement is a one day at a time process.

*Self improvement results to inner stability, personality development and dig this .... SUCCESS. It comes from self confidence, self appreciation and self esteem.

* Set meaningful and achievable goals. Self improvement doesn't turn you to be the exact replica of Cameron Diaz or Ralph Fiennes. It hopes and aims to result to an improved and better YOU.

*Little things mean BIG to other people. Sometimes, we don't realize that the little things that we do like a pat on the back, saying "hi" or "hello", greeting someone "good day" or telling Mr. Smith something like "hey, I love your tie!" are simple things that mean so much to other people. When we're being appreciative about beautiful things around us and other people, we also become beautiful to them.

*When you're willing to accept change and go through the process of self improvement, it doesn't mean that everyone else is. The world is a place where people of different values and attitude hang out. Sometimes, even if you think you and your best friend always like to do the same thing together at the same time, she would most likely decline an invitation for self improvement.

We should always remember that there's no such thing as 'over nightsuccess'. Its always a wonderful feeling to hold on to the things that you already have now, realizing that those are just one of the things you once wished for.

A very nice quote says that "When the student is ready, the teacher will appear." We are all here to learn our lessons. When we open our doors for self improvement, we increase our chances to head to the road of success.

Take your business to the top!

5 Steps To Keep In Mind

First off . . .

Have as much control over your business as
possible, from lead generation to lead
communication to monetization.

Second . . .

Think first of how to reduce expenses to a
minimum early to increase the likelihood of
early profit.

Third . . .

Have profit models for your business that
provide, most importantly from the outset,
instant and low risk profit. Concern yourself
with this task first and long term residual
income later.

Why?

If you profit now you stand a much greater
chance of profiting and creating long term
leveraged residual profit later.

Fourth . . .

Think in terms of leverage. Proactively
search out ways to automate as much of what
you do as possible so that you can focus on
the most important task of lead generation.

Fifth . . .

Think in terms of simplicity. Where
duplication is concerned, the simpler the
system you can create that produces results
the more likely those results will be
duplicated and long term residual income
growth will be achieved.

The Ticking Timer

If you don't get immediate action on a sales decision, you probably won't make the sale at all.

Solution: Seasonal offers have a natural time limit, but contrived time limits can work just as well. The "speed-reply" bonus is another common device.

Technique: If there's a limit on the number of customers who can sign up, give specifics. For example: "Frankly, after these 2,000 slots are filled, I'm going to have to close the doors. If I don't hear from you by then, you'll be turned away. I'll have no choice. Which is why I hope to hear from you soon." Emphasize benefits the prospect sacrifices by waiting too long. Fax and toll-free ordering can also be used to help speed up orders: "If you want to get started immediately, call or fax your order to..."

Monumental Mistake

Most people who want to make money online make a monumental mistake when getting started.

They focus first on how they're going to make money from their website. They research what products they're going to sell, and they consider what kinds of ads they'll feature.

There's only one problem with going this route …

It actually hurts your chances of making any money. Because you'll end up missing the most critical piece of the entire online money-making puzzle:

Creating great content.

The fact is your content will ultimately determine your success or failure online.

Think about it … 99% of people access the Internet to find useful information. So, without great content on your website, they'll never find you … because the search engines won't index it properly. And for those people who do manage to find your site, they won't stay for long – let alone make a purchase – if your content doesn't have anything of value to offer.

So what makes for good content?

According to web expert Nick Usborne, all great website content has these four characteristics:

It has a clear voice and personality. You are what separates your website content from everything else out there. That's why everything you write needs personality and a clear voice. Establishing this is vital to writing content people actually want to read. One way to find the right voice and personality for your particular website is determining what Nick Usborne calls, "a point of view." Take a stance on how you'll be writing to your audience. And above all else, don't try to please everyone with your writing. It simply doesn't work.

It has credibility. Your visitors need to trust you. Otherwise, they'll never buy anything from you. For example, if they come to your site and know instantly that your intention is just to make a quick buck, they'll hit that back button in no time flat. Just be honest. Be objective. And be real. These three qualities will ensure your sincerity shines through, quickly gaining your visitors' trust.

It's interesting. This goes without saying. Your content needs to engage your visitor. They need to think, "Wow, this is really good. I'm glad I'm reading it." Too many people try taking shortcuts, either by using content-creating software or flat out copying someone else. This never works in the long run. Because ultimately, your visitor will know he's being duped. The best way to ensure your content is interesting is to do your homework. Research the topic you're writing about. Find interesting little factoids. Write in a conversational tone. Better yet, do a little keyword research to find out what your visitors find incredibly compelling and interesting. Then make that the topic of an article on your site.

It's useful. Make sure you're giving away valuable information in your website content. Answer your visitors' potential questions or provide solutions to their problems. Either way, make sure your visitor is better off as a result of having read your content.

7 Steps To Blogging Success For Marketers

One of the MOST important strategies for successful affiliate marketing is building relationships of trust with your customers and subscribers.

You'll always sell the MOST products (and earn the highest commissions) if you recommend your products to your list...

... and the MORE they trust you, the GREATER the chances they'll act on your recommendations.

Now, while I've always said that email marketing is the BEST way to go about building these relationships with your customers, it's certainly not the ONLY way!

Another excellent way to create a sense of familiarity and trust with your visitors and subscribers -- and build your online credibility -- is through a blog.

A blog gives your readers the chance to get to know the "real" person behind your website: You!

By writing short, simple blog posts related to your market or area of interest, your visitors will quickly begin to view you as a trusted friend who is looking out for their best interests, and they'll also see for themselves that you're a reliable resource for information and help.

So, if you'd like to try creating a blog for your site, here are seven simple "rules" you can follow to create one that your customers will return to again and again...

... and one that will help you sell even MORE of your affiliate products:

1. Post often, over an extended period of time

The most important element of EVERY successful blog is the frequency of posting.

Posting often -- daily if possible -- over a long period of time, is the best way to build a large, loyal audience. This large readership provides the base for you to make good money, so posting often is crucial to making your business profitable.

Ideally, you want your blog readers to return every day to read your latest post. If you stop posting for a few days, you risk losing those readers.

Imagine if your favorite daily newspaper often didn't appear for a few days without warning... you'd end up finding a more reliable source of news pretty quickly!

2. Make your content relevant to your target audience

Of course, there's no point posting frequently if your content isn't relevant to your target audience. By providing valuable information and links to other web sites and resources that they can explore for more information, you will keep your readers coming back for more.

To generate sustained levels of good traffic, it's not enough for your content just to be relevant to your audience -- it also needs to be insightful, informative, and even controversial at times (within reason).

And you don't have to be the greatest writer!

If your voice is your own, your tone is genuine, and your content is worth reading, then you'll attract an audience.

3. Encourage dialog and debate through your blog

The most controversial blogs often attract the most traffic. Political blogs are prime examples.

Obviously, if you're running a business blog, you need to be careful what you write, but there's no doubt that a great way to generate large spikes in traffic is to write something new, fresh, and, if not controversial, then at least noteworthy.

Not only does this generate interest in the blogosphere, resulting in other blogs linking to you, but it encourages debate. People leave a comment and then invariably return to read the responses to it, and maybe leave another contribution.

Asking for people's opinion, experience, or ideas is another great way to invite comments.

In a business blog you need to be careful when allowing comments to be left in case someone writes something damaging to your business.

However, blog comments can be managed, and there's no doubt that this dialog is one of the standout features of a blog.

4. Promote your blog everywhere, all the time -- online and offline

To make your blog work, you need to start by driving traffic -- and lots of it -- to it.

The most successful blogs use every tool, directory, and promotional technique they can lay their hands on. And because blogs are now so popular online, there are a LOT of these tools available for you to take advantage of.

5. Make friends, link, and connect

Blogging is not a solitary activity. "Community," "dialog," and "linking" are words you'll hear constantly in blog-related discussions. And the best blogs make full use of the linking features available to link to other relevant web sites or blogs.

By "making friends" and connecting with other blogs where your target audience may hang out, you can get those blogs to link to you, providing a bridge from their blog to yours... and more traffic for you!

Every time you post a comment on a blog you like, or drop the blog owner an email, you are effectively giving out your business card -- complete with an instant link to your blog.

6. Be active in the blogosphere

Just as blogging is a social activity, it's also an active one. The bloggers who really put themselves out there... who link with other blogs... who post comments on message boards, forums, and blogs... who become recognized as an authority in a particular subject... are the ones whose blogs pull in the really big traffic figures.

And ultimately, they're the ones who have the ability to make BIG money!

Think of promoting your blog as "working the room" at your local Chamber of Commerce networking lunch. Okay, the Internet is a large, global "room," but if you find out where your target audience and the other businesses that cater to that audience spend their time, then that's where you should spend your time "networking" and making sure they know who you are.

7. Make your blog a great place to hang out!

Of course, attracting tons of traffic is pointless if you don't ensure that your blog is a fulfilling and worthwhile experience for your visitors.

The content itself is important, but your blog should also be well designed, easy to navigate, and home to features like categorized archives and image folders.

The most successful blogs combine the best elements of chatrooms, online forums, and information and news web sites -- all held together by a template that's pleasing to the eye and easy to navigate.

Many blog readers treat their favorite blogs like their favorite coffee shops -- friendly, comfortable places where they can hang out to read, chat, and socialize.

Finally, remember that you don't need to be a professional writer to write your own blog! Just be yourself, write from the heart, and make sure you're providing relevant information to your audience...

... and you'll be rewarded with increased sales and commissions

Ghost Twittering

You can follow celebrities and politicians - Shaquille O'Neal, President Obama, 50 Cent, Britney Spears - through their postings on the Web 2.0 darling Twitter. But you might wonder how they fit making those postings into their busy schedules.

Well... turns out they may not be writing them at all. Enter ghost twitterers, the perfect solution for the rich and famous who want to take advantage of the marketing potential of Twitter but don't want (or don't have the time) to put in the actual work. These specialized ghostwriters, often part of the star's entourage, use their client's "voice" and keep fans stocked with updates throughout the day.

Where does the marketing part of this come in? With frequent special announcements about such things as movie, book, and album launches.

People who charge as much as - or more than - you for seemingly equivalent info products

If your pricing is similar to that of your competitors, two of the strategies - establishing yourself as an industry guru and micro-niching - can differentiate you from the crowd. If your price is lower than most of your competitors, play the price card.

In your marketing copy, talk about how the other guys charge an outrageous fortune for big, elaborate packages that the buyer won't have time to absorb and probably will never even look at. Then show how your product saves time because it is tightly written (no fluff) as well as inexpensive.

One other idea for handling competition: Befriend them instead of going to war with them. This strategy is called "coopetition." It recognizes that two businesses can be competitors and joint venture partners simultaneously.

Reach out to your competitors via phone or e-mail. Offer to do joint venture deals and affiliate promotions with them.

Maybe they have a high-priced product that is the perfect back-end to one of your front-end products. Instead of spending a lot of time and money to duplicate what they have done, sell their product to your customers on the back end for a nice affiliate commission on every sale you make.

Personalization …

Personalization is where you take a prospect’s name or some other piece of information you know about them and use it in a mass-marketing promotion.

Personalization — when used wisely — does in fact increase conversion.

Why? The most important person in the entire known universe is YOU! Any communication that appears uniquely relevant to that person is bound to get your attention.

Your name is the sweetest and most important word in existence — ten times more powerful in marketing than YOU or FREE combined …

Have you ever had an experience like this?

You’re sitting alone in a noisy restaurant, waiting for someone to arrive …

All around you, many different conversations swirl together into a cacophony of unintelligible words.

You muse for a moment about what it must have been like to witness the confusion of Babel before receding into the inner world of your own thoughts …

And then suddenly, you hear your name slicing through the thick fog of your divided attention … like a switch-blade through butter.

A personalized marketing message has this same power to reach out through the competitive clutter of competing marketing messages, and grab your attention.

It is a conditioned, spontaneous response.

Your brain stem is on a constant vigil for sensory inputs that it deems potentially relevant to your survival as an organism.

You are therefore, momentarily defenseless against such efforts to seize your attention.

Soon however, you become aware that you are on the receiving end of a personalized marketing message. You realize that some marketer has merged your name or some other piece of pertinent personal data into a sales message to create this effect.

Even so, chances are, you will be willing to suspend your disbelief and enter into a mental dialog with the person sending the message. It is pure fantasy, and you know it.

Of course, any fantasy with YOU as the central character is practically irresistible. You just have to know what it is about.

So you keep reading. And of course, THAT is the point.

Like any marketing tactic, the element of surprise magnifies the effect of personalization exponentially.

If you were to sit down and list the prime human desires, the list is actually pretty short.

Food and water
Sexual gratification
Companionship
The well-being of our children
A faith to believe in
Physical comfort
Health, and freedom from pain
Entertainment
Money, and what it can buy
A sense of importance

Most of these things are available in plentiful supply, except the last.

All of us should be acutely aware of the magic contained in the personal data of our prospects.

When you acknowledge a person’s individuality — even in the make believe world of mass marketing — you are feeding that person’s need for a feeling of self-importance. None of us can ever get enough.

Develop YOUR Marketing Funnel And BRAND Yourself

I have a powerful lesson for you today that most people in network marketing ARE NOT talking about.

Why is that? I really don't know. If more people were teaching this...there would be more REAL business building going on in our industry. But alas, it means there's more for us!

So what is it I'm talking about you say? I'm talking about'Developing Your Marketing Funnel'. I'm talking about building YOU INC.

Most network marketers have no concept of this 'You Inc.' idea. They are trained to act as promoters. They simply promote a company and promote the company's product and they get commissions.

In essence, they are trained to be commission based sales people. That's not how I operate around here. Around these parts, there is training on how to be REAL entrepreneurs.

Real entrepreneurs build MARKETING FUNNELS. Real entrepreneurs build their own LISTS of prospects, customers, and partners who they can market to for the rest of time.

But not only can you cultivate an asset that pays you for the rest of your life when you are building your OWN List...but you can Build and Deepen your relationship with all those people, which is the essence of successful network marketing, on a scale that begs belief to what most people in our industry are used to.

Take me for example. Right now, at this very moment, I am building my relationship with hundreds of people by sending out this one email and posting to this blog.

That's pretty cool huh! While most people are out there chasing around their neighbors, aunts, and uncles...I'm sending out an email and communicating with hundreds in any fashion I would like to.

The possibilities are literally ENDLESS once you know how to use REAL business building principles to grow your organization on the internet.

You see, once you start generating leads who are going into YOUR personal marketing funnel...you can offer a variety of products and services to those people and spin income streams off your list in many ways.

This is one of the things I learned that truly started to transform my profitability online. When I got out of the 'box' and started seeing myself as my business...my business started to change. I started applying real internet marketing principles to my network marketing business...and overnight more and more success just started to creep in. The bigger my list got, the more power I had. The more power I had...the bigger I could grow my list. And as of today, I have now gotten my lead generation to do between 50 - 100 brand new opt ins every day.

Imagine if you had 100 new leads to build relationships with every day. You think your business would be growing bigger!? The point is, these are principles that almost no one is teaching network marketers at large...and that has to STOP.

It's time you learn how to be at the cutting edge of technology and use these strategies to build a real business. You can learn exactly how I'm doing what I'm doing right here.

You can get a step by step outline for how to start using technology to profit to no end in your business.

All I can say is take advantage of this offer today. The people who learn these 'specific' skills on how to use technology to grow any business will be the ones who create true wealth in our industry as we head into this new age.

Here's to your success! It's time to make it happen.

Larry Potter

How To Make More Money Then You Are Now...

I was thinking, what is it that makes big time money
possible for the average entrepreneur who works for
themselves, defies this whole "college degree" get a
job thing, and if they want to even refuses to get out
of their pajama's all day long...

While most "successful" workers spend $100,000 on a
college degree, are forced to work every day in an
environment that causes most people misery, and never
have the chance to excel much higher then their "title".

And here's the reason why...

As an Entrepreneur, you are being paid directly proportional
to how valuable your SKILLS are. Since you are not in an
income ceiling type business vehicle, the more valuable of
SKILLS you develop, the more money you can make.

And with the changing of the times, meaning technology
changing every facet of how we live, the people who
develop SKILLS to keep up with those changing times
will be worth more then all the other people who don't
have these skills. Commons sense right? Maybe not.

Are you developing new skills every single day and
making yourself more valuable? Are you learning the
latest marketing mechanisms, or even the oldest marketing
mechanism to be able to offer more to your clients,
customers, or business partners? Are you constantly
building your value by adding new and additional abilities
and skills to your arsenal?

If you don't see the connection between how much you LEARN,
and the new skills you develop ALL THE TIME, as being
proportional to how valuable you are to other people...then
please take these next words to heart.

The reason I have had clients pay me for my time is because
I took the time to develop and learn NEW skills that I didn't
know even 2 months ago!

I'm CONSTANTLY networking, and learning from EVERYONE who
might know ANYTHING, so I can learn it too. Once I learn it,
I immediately turn around and offer this new knowledge, skill,
and ability to my customers or clients, and guess what? I
have people in record numbers paying me for my time and products.

And I'm not slowing down for a minute! I've already isolated
several other areas where I can develop new skills, and learn
more knowledge about that will make me more knowledgeable,
hence more valuable to my clients...and in the end will make
me TONS more money.

It can't be stressed enough that with how quickly technology
can change, marketing tactics can arise, and all the likes...that
you should be developing new skills to make yourself more
valuable all the time.

Go isolate areas that you KNOW will make you more valuable if
you learn...and LEARN them. once you do, you will be more
successful at whatever it is you are doing. It truly doesn't
matter what it is...you will be more successful at it.

That's what I'm doing, and it's working out pretty good so far!

Hope this helps someone to go take some action and increase
their value today...

Marketing Blunders People Make

Have you ever sent out an "advertisement," and much to your
disappointment, received much less of a response than you
had hoped for?

Perhaps a little crash course in marketing psychology is
in order.

You see, there are several mistakes most people make due
to misunderstanding psychology, which result in their
ads simply not working.

What is "marketing," anyway? Here's a neat way to think
about it...

Marketing is actually programming peoples' brains with
your words!

That might sound a little bit harsh, but here's what I
mean.

When you write an advertisement, a web page, an email,
or a sales letter, the real reason you are choosing the
words you're choosing is because you want to influence
your reader's state of mind.

Specifically, most people want to write something that
will put the reader's mind into a state which is "ready
to buy" -- or "ready to sign up."

Now, the key idea here is that what you are trying to
do is use your words to get your readers to think
something.

If your marketing isn't achieving your desired result,
this can literally only mean one thing:

Your words are not causing your readers' minds to be
in the state that you thought they would!

But how could that be?

You wrote out an advertisement so carefully. It even
looks like all those other ones out there.

Doesn't matter. It didn't work.

So, how do you get your readers to think what you want,
then?

Understanding psychology is the key. Because, if you
know how brains work, then you'll really know what to
write to influence them the way you want.

Of course, the field of psychology is huge -- you can
get a Ph.D. in it. But, here are 3 psychological tips
you can use to your advantage.

Be warned: Some of them may seem counterintuitive to
you. But, remember! Maybe you need to try something
counterintuitive.

After all, the techniques you thought were intuitive
haven't worked as well as you wanted, right?

If they had, then you probably wouldn't have read
this article!

TIP #1: At all costs, avoid looking like an
advertisement.

In this day and age, when people see something that
they know is an advertisement, they immediately
tune it out.

For proof of this, just look at your own behavior.

Would you spend your free time reading ads?

Probably not.

An advertisement is usually classified as something
whose sole purpose is to sell something.

So, the best way to avoid looking like this is to
actually give people some real information, for
free.

This way, what you wrote won't seem like an ad,
because it actually isn't one!

People will read it for your interesting info, and
then when it's time to talk about what you're
selling, they'll really listen, too.

Try it.

TIP #2: At all costs, avoid looking like everyone
else.

Another thing which people completely tune out is
things which look just like everyone else's.

It's a shame -- we see so many people nowadays
advertising their sites in the *exact* same way.

YOU WON'T BELIEVE THIS!
$$$$$$ MAKE $10,000 FAST!
THIS IS THE REAL DEAL, IT'S INCREDIBLE!
etc...

Nobody pays attention to things like this anymore.

Make sure you don't look like anyone else, and
you'll stand out.

You HAVE to stand out in order to succeed in
business.

Combine this with Tip #1 to come up with headlines
and email subject lines which really communicate
something interesting and meaningful.

Remember, you can bait people in to read your ad
with headlines and subject lines which convey
something people actually want to read, and then
later you can still sell them your product or
service!

TIP #3: At all costs, avoid making huge promises
you know you can't keep. Don't hype.

So many people nowadays make huge claims in their
marketing; like if you sign up for a certain site it
will make you $10,000 per week while you sleep.

This sort of thing is obviously not true, and everyone
knows it, even you!

So, when you do things like this it sets off major
red flags in peoples' heads, and they stop reading.

Another big one is promising people that a certain
website is the "best" or the "biggest," etc., when
it really isn't.

Of course, maybe I could send out an email about
Google saying that it's the "most powerful site" out
there, but people are tired of hearing all this
hype about every little site.

You might even believe that you just found the "best
site to come out in the last 10 years," but so many
people *have* worn out this promise that it holds
no weight anymore (see Tip #2).

This one can seem counterintuitive, since you might
think that you *should* say great things about your
website or product to get people to want it.

The problem is, this just isn't how psychology works.

Instead, you must give people real information so
that they actually pay attention, look different from
everyone else, and be draw people in more subtly.

Let your actual website or product make them say
"wow."

And if you're afraid that your actual website or
product won't make them say "wow," so you need to hype
it up in your marketing, then maybe you need to
re-evaluate, and figure out how to make whatever you're
selling powerful enough.
